I’ve created paintings for two ABC television shows.
For the sitcom pilot Household Name, starring Carol Burnett, I painted portraits for her character’s bedroom, along with several “fake” portraits created in Photoshop. Although the pilot wasn’t picked up, I had the chance to meet Carol, who was every bit as warm and lovely as I expected.
I also created a deliberately “tasteless” black velvet-style portrait of a Black woman with her pet wolf for The Neighborhood. The piece made it on-air, got a good laugh, and, thankfully, caused no complaints.
